Amazon Arbitration
Sometimes, a suspension of your Amazon listing results in a withholding of your funds by Amazon and Amazon refuses to release the funds. In those cases, sometimes the best option is to take Amazon to court. However, in your contract with Amazon in order to sell on Amazon, you have agreed that you’re only remedy is to pursue binding arbitration. This is actually beneficial to you, however, because the arbitration process is generally cheaper and faster than traditional court.
Amazon, being the big corporation that they are, likes to hide beyond their sellers agreements and gates such as the arbitration process to intimidate sellers into giving up on these withheld funds. Any many do, but you don’t have to! The arbitration process is there for a reason and provides sellers an opportunity to rectify the issue, release their funds and possibly even get their account active again.
Stockman & Poropat, PLLC initiates arbitrations with Amazon on a consistent basis. We are familiar with the ins and outs of the process and the best way to present and argue these cases. Arbitration is a very powerful tool that, if used correctly, can oftentimes be very successful.
Unfortunately, once Amazon has taken those withheld funds and issued them as an expense in your account, the likelihood of success drops dramatically. If you think your case might be ripe for arbitration, don’t hesitate. Contact us immediately for a free consultation and we’ll fight for your account.
